Autopulse: From 1 Different Sources


n. a mechanical device designed to compress the chest (and thereby the heart) rhythmically, with the aim of maintaining the circulation during *cardiac arrest. It is more efficient than manual chest compression and has the advantage of allowing *percutaneous coronary intervention to be performed without interruption of chest compression.
