A system of medicine based on the theory that disease is caused by malfunction of the nervous system, and that normal function of the nervous system can be achieved by manipulation and other treatment of the structures of the body, primarily the spinal column. A practitioner is a chiropractor, Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).
