Couching Health Dictionary

Couching: From 1 Different Sources

n. an operation for cataract in which the lens is pushed out of the pupil downwards and backwards into the jelly-like vitreous humour by a small knife inserted through the edge of the cornea. It was widely employed in ancient Hindu civilizations but developments in surgery and anaesthesia leave little place for it today.
