adj. within or through the nose: describing minimally invasive techniques that allow access through the nose to correct problems. Such procedures are performed by an ENT or ophthalmic surgeon or a neurosurgeon.
(DCR) n. an operation to relieve blockage of the nasolacrimal duct (which drains tears into the nose), in which a communication is made between the lacrimal sac and the nose by removing the intervening bone.
