n. any tumour arising from or resembling endothelium. It may arise from the linings of blood or lymph vessels (haemangioendothelioma and lymphangioendothelioma respectively); from the linings of the pleural cavity or the peritoneal cavity (see mesothelioma); or from the meninges (see meningioma).
