A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug used particularly to ease the symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis.
n. an analgesic that relieves inflammation (see NSAID), used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhoea, and other painful conditions and to prevent contraction of the pupil during eye surgery. Side-effects may include gastrointestinal upset, diarrhoea, and nausea.
