A list of quantities and locations of different kinds of facilities, major equipment, and personnel that are available in a geographic area and the amount, type and distribution of services those resources can support. An inventory system is the set of policies and controls that monitor the levels of inventory and determines what levels should be maintained, replaced and ordered.
