Linezolid: From 1 Different Sources


n. a member of a class of antibiotics – the oxazolidinones – that are active against Gram-positive bacteria, including *MRSA. Linezolid is used to treat pneumonia and soft-tissue infections caused by these organisms when they have not responded to other antibacterials. The most common side-effects are headache, a metallic taste in the mouth, diarrhoea, and nausea.
