A condition with symptoms and signs closely resembling those of MENINGITIS. Most commonly occurring in children, it is usually a symptom of chest infection or of in?ammation in the upper respiratory tract. Given the serious implications of meningitis, medical advice should be sought. Examination of the CEREBROSPINAL FLUID may be necessary: in meningism the ?uid is normal.
