Mycophenolate Mofetil: From 1 Different Sources


(MMF) an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent rejection in organ transplantation and also in the treatment of severe eczema. It is derived from the fungus Penicillium stoloniferum and acts by blocking purine synthesis in lymphocytes. Side-effects may limit its use.
