A rare and slowgrowing type of primary brain tumour mainly affecting young or middle-aged adults.

Surgical removal of the tumour can, in some cases, lead to a total cure.

Glioma

A type of brain tumour arising from the supporting connective tissue, (glial cells), in the brain. Types of glioma include astrocytoma, glioblastoma multiforme, ependymoma, medulloblastoma, and oligodendroglioma.
