A term for any health-care worker other than a doctor, nurse, or dentist. The term usually refers to ambulance staff who attend accidents or medical emergencies.
A generic title for the professions which work closely with or are reponsible to the medical profession in caring for patients. A paramedical worker, coloquially called a ‘paramedic’, has skills, experience and quali?cations in certain spheres of health care.
