Parapsychology: From 3 Different Sources

The branch of psychology dealing with experiences and events that cannot be scientifically accounted for. These include forms of extrasensory perception (ESP), such as telepathy (communication of thoughts), telekinesis (movement of objects with the mind), and precognition (being able to see into the future).

Many “paranormal” experiences can probably be explained by mental disturbances; others are probably due to coincidence, self-deception, or fraud.

The branch of PSYCHOLOGY that studies extrasensory perception. This includes precognition (seeing into the future); psychokinesis (a supposed ability of some people to move or change the state of objects by thinking); telepathy (communicating thoughts from one person to another); and clairvoyance (the ability to visualise events at a distance). These phenomena have no scienti?c explanation and some of these ‘abilities’ may be manifestations of mental illness such as SCHIZOPHRENIA.
