Pyogenic: From 2 Different Sources


Pyogenic is a term applied to those bacteria which cause the formation of PUS and so lead to the formation of abscesses (see ABSCESS). Although many bacteria have this property, the most common cause of abscess is one of the rounded forms of bacterium (e.g. streptococcus).
