An accumulation of sebaceous gland secretions under the foreskin in an uncircumcised male, usually as a result of poor hygiene.
Fungal or bacterial infection of smegma may cause balanitis.
A thick, cheesy secretion formed by the SEBACEOUS GLANDS of the glans penis (see PENIS). A bacillus, closely resembling the tubercle bacillus morphologically, develops readily in this secretion.
