A regular nodding movement of the head that sometimes involves the trunk. The term can also refer to a staggering or reeling condition, especially due to disease of the SPINAL CORD or cerebellum (see BRAIN).
n. a rhythmical nodding movement of the head, sometimes involving the trunk. It is seen in patients with *parkinsonism and cerebellar disorders. Occasionally the use of this term is extended to include a stumbling gait.
