Spikes—ash is used for healing wounds. The pollen, mixed with honey, is applied to wounds and sores or taken internally for treating uterine bleeding and haematuria.
The plant contains isorhamnetin, pentacosane and sterols. A flavonol glucoside, yielding quercetin on hydrolysis, has been reported in the plant.Dosage: Rhizome—50-100 ml decoction. (CCRAS.)
